I’m moving to Substack

(Substack is a platform that hosts blogs like mine.)

Why?
  • Diversity of different blogs and contents I offer for different audiences under the same platform (overview see patrickemmanuel.substack.com)
  • Saving high costs for former eMail provider (Mailchimp) – not sustainable when I want to leave my service for my free
  • Easy sending out of new blog posts as eMails (less effort for me means more posts, more focus on content)
  • Possibility to monetize special content (such as my professional photography)
  • Substack does not prohibit nude content (as Instagram and others do).
What that means for you
  • No change for you. You continue to receive my blog posts by eMail, now the whole post without needing to login to FreeGuyz.
  • If you want to see all other posts, you have to login to FreeGuyz.Substack.com instead of your FreeGuyz account here. May be later I will make that available directly on my website.
  • You get access to other content that I am offering and can manage that in one only account:
  • Your Account on the FreeGuyz Website will continue to work including the community functions here to connect with others, however it will no longer be directly connected to the newsletter (integration of my members- and community-functionality and substack is not available in the way it was for Mailchimp). Opting out cannot be done from FreeGuyz but from the newsletter and will not reflect on your FG account.
If you create an account in Substack
  • Although you don’t need to subscribe to Substack (you will get your eMails from there anyway), you may consider subscribing which means to create an actual Substack account. In my eMails and in the links above you find a subscribe button.
  • This will add some information (as your name and as much as you share) to your eMail address that is already there) and give you access to the Substack app.
  • There you can join the FreeGuyz community Chat
  • You can manage your subscriptions on my blogs but also on other similar blogs, some of which I recommend there.
And what happens with the content here?

I’m not sure yet. For now the old blog posts stay available here but no new ones will be added. I will try to find ways to integrate more seamlessly with Substack and I will keep you posted about any changes.
